Explorer: Activate or deactivate JavaScript

In
the Internet Explorer menu bar, click on "Tools".
Choose "Internet Options" in the opening pull-down
menu. The dialogue box "Internet Options" opens.

With
a mouse click, choose the "Security" tab in the
upper window section.

Click
on the globe in the security zone.

IIn
the lower part of the dialogue box, you either see a control
bar or simply text and two buttons.

FIn
case of the control bar, set the regulator to "intermediate"
and click on the "Apply" button. This not only activates
Scripting, but also Java and ActivX. Close the window by clicking
the "OK" button. In order to deactivate, reopen
the window and reset the regulator to "high".

case there is no control bar with regulator, click on the
button "Custom Level" and then set the regulator
to "intermediate". This not only activates Scripting,
but also Java and ActivX. Close the window by clicking the
"OK" button. In order to deactivate, reopen the
window and reset the regulator to "high".

In
the Netscape menu bar, first click on "Edit". On
the pull-down menu choose "Preferences". The preferences
dialog box opens.

First
click on "Advanced" in the left window box of the
dialog.

In
the right window box, you will find the entry "Enable
Java". (In Netscape 6.x / 7.x, activate Javascript for
Navigator)
4.
Click
on the box next to this entry in order to check or uncheck
it.
5.
When
checked, JavaScript is activated, when not checked, it is
deactivated.
